Every year the lord gives his blessings to devotees from all over the world during the Ganeshotsava which is celebrated after the month of Shraavana, usually last week of September. This is when the whole of Pune city is decorated with beautiful stalls depicting scenes not only from the glorious Indian past but also pertaining to the latest scientific discoveries and current affairs. All Puneites participate in the festival irrespective caste and creed, which was the reason Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak started this festival as a national activity.
